Today was one of those days where I entirely derailed from my diet. Chips, an entire wheel of Brie, and EIGHT MACARONS, GUYS. In other words, it was just another Wednesday. Diet starts tomorrow. 🐷
Also, anyone out there working on a new language? I'm doing French for no reason other than I love it. Studies show that one of the only ways to become adept at a language is to be genuinely interested in it. Wherever I've heard French, from Louisiana to Paris to this photo in Quebec City, I've loved it. .

Wow. I found my old travel diary and re-read my entries on my 1st out of country trip which kick started my love of travel. It was so awesome to see how excited and purely happy I was on my trip to Costa Rica! It was trippy to see my old thoughts, memories, and feelings. I think I'll go back to journaling when I travel! Damn, some days. Am I right? I used to really love the grind. I still do, sometimes. But, I can't lie. Some days I collapse in bed thinking, "should I really be this worn mentally and physically?" Up at 5:00AM for yoga & meditation, work from 6:50AM to God knows when, come home to do the mom thing til 7:30OM. More work. Cooking. Cleaning. Work out. Feeling guilty for taking 20 mins to myself when I know I have so many friends to check in with or respond to, and being sick on top of it. The grind is what gives me the ability to travel and do the things I want, but I am so damn exhausted! Some people make balancing everything look so easy. I feel weak when I feel tears in my eyes from overcooking the rice, or when I feel my heart flip in my chest when I get seven new e-mails to my inbox. Lately, I've been feeling like I'm the only one who feels stress just from day to day life on such a physical level. The guilt of feeling stressed just from being a mom and going to work has been eating me alive. Hoping by sharing my truth, I'll feel better! My light at the end of the tunnel this week is a 3 day weekend, my family/friends, and a GIANT BAKED BRIE ALL TO MYSELF AND SOME PJ'S ON FRIDAY! 😂😂 What's your light at the end this week? .

I love guided tours! However, I hate that I often walk away from them only to soon forget everything I've learned. This was not the case when I took my drag tour of New Orleans! A huge shout out to the beautiful and innovative @quinnlarouxdrag who took us on the best tour I've ever had! The tour focused on the history of LGBT community, people of color, and of course - the gritty details of the sex work industry! Quinn is not only gawgeous, but SO well versed in her history. Every story became more interesting, I was captivated all day. Quinn tells stories in a way that are unforgettable. Her sense of humor made her captivating and approachable from the get go. I promise you, this is NOT to be missed. It WILL be the coolest thing you do on your trip, especially if you're a history nerd like me. SHE KNOWS HER STUFF. I left feeling a sense of pride having learned the history of so many strong women. I felt that if those women could hustle and make something with close to nothing, I could do anything. Thank you, Quinn for all that you do for the LGBT community. Thank you for building bridges and choosing to radiate light. Thank you for giving me the confidence to walk around in a fierce blonde bob cut wig. Love, me and all 500 of my baby hairs in this photo. 💕
